Hot sleeping isn’t just a summer thing. It’s an all-year thing.

How does that even make sense?

Some people naturally sleep hot, while others live in hot places. The reason doesn’t really matter, though. Ultimately, being hot and uncomfortable may be the WORST thing that can happen during the night.

Some pillows promise a solution. Cool this, cold that. Sadly, most pillows just cant keep up with the amount of heat that a body puts out.

And that’s fine, your body is working hard! Of course it’s going to generate a bit of heat.

But, most pillows can only take to much. Eventually, it will reach a limit. Well, most pillows anyway.

Here’s what happens when you send a regular pillow to do the job of a ThermaCool Adjustable Pillow

For a number of reasons, these pillows simply can’t compete with how much heat the ThermaCool can dissipate OR how well it can support you.

First, they do not provide adequate support— these pillows are often filled with microfiber or other low-quality materials that tend to fall flat when you lie on them. You know, like those hotel pillows that you need to use 3 - 4 of just to feel supported. You can see how this would cause poor alignment.

Second, most pillowsonly have one cooling element, not three. You need more than just a cool-to-the-touch cover; you need airflow and heat dissipation.

We didn’t have the kind of baggage that traditional pillow-makers have. We didn’t have to unlearn 50 years of pillow design.

Starting from scratch has its advantages. And the need for a "triple-action" pillow was clear to us early.

If it was, we would have used microfiber, down, or other materials that aren’t supportive or cooling.

We wanted something not too hard (it would hurt your ear), not too soft (it wouldn’t support your neck), and definitely not something too hot. It needed to be just right.

We tested ~50 different foam blends and firmness levels with people from all walks of life. Some started off promising, and in the end, all failed. It was so hard we nearly abandoned the project. In the end, we did something experts told us we would never be able to do: we created our own proprietary blend.
